Hayward '09

We spent the last weekend in June up in Hayward, WI. Our friends Nate and Sara's parents have a cabin up there. They are nice enough to invite us up once or twice each summer.

We had Friday off so we headed up Thursday night for a long weekend.

Friday was the one really nice day so we spent it out on the new boat. Nate and Ryan turn into little kids the minute they hit the water. They spent 3 hours walking around the sandbar playing catch and other games with tennis balls and a stick. Sara and I spent most of the time on the boat with baby Jonah and our books. That night we had a great dinner at the cabin and played some bocce.

Saturday was overcast and drizzly. We went into town and it turned out to be "Musky Fest" so we wandered around the booths, ate fair food and hung out. Saturday night we went out for dinner and then watched a movie.

We had planned to stay and hang out on Sunday but WINDY weather meant no lake time so we headed home. It was nice to get back and have time to do our usual weekend chores - laundry, grocery shopping, etc.

Jonah's lifejacket was a little big. It didn't seem to stop him from napping!
